1·With regard to the slot process of closed blisk, a 5-axis slot plunge milling method of closed blisk is studied.

2·At the stage of the rough machining of the open blisk. the plunge milling is presented in stead of the traditional 5-axis NC point milling and side milling for improving the machining efficiency.

3·The results show that the channel region division and the ruled envelope surface generating can be solved by this approach, and the slot plunge milling of closed blisk can be achieved effectively.
