1·When images begin to fade, the uncertainty about where to look increases the fluctuations in superior colliculus activity, triggering a microsaccade.

2·Neurons in the upper layers of the superior colliculus have well-defined receptive fields.

3·Although the ontogeny of the optic system to the lateral geniculate body, superior colliculus have been well studied.

4·The central subcortical structure involved in the generation of visually guided saccadic eye movements is the superior colliculus.

5·Also some changes were found in vestibulum, inferior olivary nucleus, vagus nerve nucleus, superior colliculus, basal ganglion, pons, Cerebellumand motor area of cortex.

6·These include the superior colliculus, which is crucial in eye movements and may have other sensory functions; and, probably, circuits running through the amygdala, which registers emotion.

7·The posterior group supplies the superior and inferior colliculus.
