1·Adopting Monsanto technology, the Daye Non-ferrous Metal Corp. has improved its traditional sulfuric acid facility from converter fume raw material.

2·In both the Acid Bessemer and Basic Bessemer processes molten pig iron is refined by blowing air through it in an egg-shaped vessel, known as a converter, of 15-25 tonnes capacity.

3·The main equipment such as stainless steel converter, fire tube boiler, main blower and concentrated acid pumps were made at home.

4·Indium was recycled from a certain converter slag containing 0.4% indium through a method of thermal activation leaching in sulfuric acid solution.
