1·The problem of designing an assembly type formed milling cutter is how to design the edge curve.

2·The assembly type formed milling cutter is widely applied in manufacturing complicated curve surface because of its advantages of adjustability and changeability.

3·So long as designers input slot section parameters of end cutter, the coordinate of formed milling cutter profiles is calculated automatically, and cutter profile graph is drawed by computers.

4·We analyzed the geometric property of edge curve of formed milling cutter, deduced the curve's mathematics equation, got the center coordinate of disc blade, and designed the edge curve by CAD.

5·According to the forming principal of spherical surface, inner spherical surface of the spherical hinge is formed utilizing the circular motion of work piece and milling cutter.

6·Cylindrical worms are usually worked by formed turning tool or milling cutter. It is inefficient. The tooth shape is difficult to control and the quality is not easy insured.
